Özet

Amaç: Umut Merkezi Ostomi Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği’nin (City of Hope Quality of Life- Ostomy) Türk ostomili hastalarda geçerlilik ve güvenilirliğini değerlendirmektir. Yöntem: Metodolojik bir çalışmadır. Araştırmaya en az bir aydır kolostomi, ileostomi ve ürostomisi olan 153 hasta alındı. Veriler; hastalara yönelik demografik bilgiler formu ve Umut Merkezi Ostomi Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği (City of Hope Quality of Life Ostomy) ile toplandı. Ölçek, likert tipi 0-10 arasında puanlandırıldı. Bulgular: Ölçeğin dil geçerliliğinde çeviri-geri çeviri yapıldı ve uzman görüşlerinin uyumlu olduğu saptandı. Umut Merkezi Ostomi Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği’nin Türkçe versiyonu’nun iç tutarlılık güvenilirlik katsayısı 0.92 olarak bulundu, alt boyut madde puanları- alt boyut toplam puanları arasındaki korelasyon 0.21- 0.79 arasındaydı. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda, ölçeğin model uyum indeksleri olması gereken sınır aralığında bulundu. Ölçeğin test tekrar test güvenirliğinde ölçek toplam puan korelasyonu 0.82 olarak bulundu. Sonuç: Umut Merkezi Ostomi Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği’nin ostomili hastaların yaşam kalitelerini değerlendirmede geçerli ve güvenilir olduğu belirlendi. Ostomili hastaların yaşam kalitelerini fiziksel, psikolojik, sosyal ve manevi alanlarda hangi düzeyde etkilendiğini belirlemek ve alanlara yönelik hemşirelik girişimlerini planlamak için bu ölçeğin kullanılması önerilmektedir.

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the validity and reliability City of Hope Ostomy Quality of Life Ostomy – Scale for theTurkish patients with ostomy. Method: It is a methodological study. The sample was 153 patients who have ostomy including colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy for at least a month. Data were collected by a socio-demographic information form and the City of Hope Quality of Life Ostomy. The scoring is performed on the basis of a 10-point Likert scale. Results: Forward-backward translation method was used for the linguistic validity of the scale and the expert opinions were consistent with each other. The internal consistency coefficient for the Turkish version of City of Hope Quality of Life Ostomy was 0.92; item-total correlation coefficients of the sub-dimensions ranged between 0.21 and 0.79. In the confirmatory factor analysis, values of fit indices were found to be acceptable level. By means of test-retest reliability, the correlation between first and second measurement was 0.82. Conclusion: The validity and reliability of City of Hope Quality of Life Ostomy scale has been proven among the Turkish patients with ostomy. We recommended that nurses can use City of Hope Quality of Life Ostomy scale to determine quality of life including physchological, psychological, social, and spiritual domains and plan nursing interventions if it is necessary.
