Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of low-intensity extracorporeal wave therapy (Li- ESWT) in the treatment of Peyronie’s disease (PD). Methods: Li-ESWT was used to treat 41 patients applied with PD using the Duolith SD1 Ultra device. In Peyronie’s patients, a total of 300 beats (3,000 strokes 0.25 mJ/mm2) were applied to the penile region to be Li-ESWT with clinical emphasis, that is, on the palpable Peyronie’s plaque, once a week for 6 weeks. The method’s reproducibility and efficacy were determined by comparing penile discomfort, penile curvature, penile plaque size, and International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) score values in Peyronie’s patients at baseline and 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after Li-ESWT treatment. Results: While there was a statistically significant decrease (p
