Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of neural therapy on locomotor system diseases. Considering that the one third of this patient group present with low back pain, the study was conducted on patients 120 patients; 56 men (47%), 64 women (53%), who were clinically diagnosed with low back pain. Patients with comparable Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores and pain duration were assigned to two groups regardless of age and sex. The first group received 15 sessions of TENS, infrared light, ultrasound and exercise 5 days a week. The second group received TENS, infrared light, ultrasound, exercise and neural therapy 2 days a week. Clinic parameters and functional status during pre-treatment and post-treatment; two months after the treatment, was registered. For the first group which received physical therapy, the pain severity and the functional state in 33.3% of the patients were evaluated as perfect, while 26.6% as good, 23.3% as moderate, %16.6 as poor, in terms of functional state and VAS, during the follow up control two months after the treatment (p
