Abstract

Angiokeratomas are included in the vascular tumour group that show a kerototic structure. This group has five different clinical types which show no relationship with one another. Angiokeratoma corporis diffusum (Fabry Disease) is a infrequently seen clinic type of angiokeratomas and is a multi-system disease caused by an enzyme deficiency of the glucoprotein metabolism. The reported case is a 14 year old female, referred to our clinic with multiple hemorrhagic papillary lesions on her body. The histopathological investigation with the fact of the multiplicity of the lesions also considered, concluded the diagnosis to be angiokeratoma corporis diffusum. Angiokeratoma corporis diffusum beign a very rarely seen disease and also that the dermatological manifestations of angiokeratoma having clinical similarities with malign melanoma and vascular hemangioma encouraged us to report this case.
