Özet

Amaç: Enürezis nokturna, beş yaş ve üzerindeki çocuklarda görülen herhangi bir fiziksel bozukluk ile açıklanamayan, uykuda ortaya çıkan, tekrarlayıcı idrar kaçırma olayıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Siirt Çocuk ve Kadın Doğum Hastanesine başvuran çocuk-lardaki enürezis nokturna prevalansını tespit etmek ve nedenlerini araştırmaktır. Materyal ve Metod: Kesitsel olarak planlanan bu çalışma Ocak-Haziran 2007 tarihlerinde, Siirt Kadın Doğum ve Çocuk hastalıkları hastanesine başvuran hastalar arasından şikayetlerine bakılmaksızın randomize olarak seçilmiştir. Bulgular: Toplam 238 çocuğun 130'u (%54,6) erkek 108'i (%45,4) kızdı. Bu çalışmada enürezis nokturna prevalansı % 13,8 olarak bulundu.Enürezis nokturna prevelansı sırayla kızlarda ve erkeklerde %12,9 ve %14,6 idi. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada enürezis nokturna varlığı yaş, akraba evliliği, idrar yolu enfeksiyonu, gelir seviyesi ve ailenin birey sayısı ile ilişkili bulundu.

Abstract

Aim: Enuresis nocturna is a recurrent inability to retain urination, mostly observed during sleep in children 5 years old and older, unexplainable by any organic problem. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence and causes of enuresis nocturna in children who applied to Siirt Kad›n Do¤um ve Çocuk Hastal›klar› Hospital.between January-June 2007. Material and Method: This study is a cross sectional study. The children are randomly selected among children applying to Siirt Kad›n Do¤um ve Çocuk Hastal›klar› Hospital between January-June 2007, without looking at their complains. Results: Of the 238 children 130 (%54,6) were males and 108 (%45,4) were females. The prevalence of enuresis nocturna was found as %13,8. The prevalence of enuresis nocturna was %12,9 and %14,6 in girls and boys respectively. Conclusion: Enuresis nocturna was found to be related to age, relative marriage, income level, number of family member and urinary tract infections.
