Özet

Son yıllarda yapılan bazı çalışmalar, Romatoid Artritli (RA) ve Sistemik Lupus Eritematozuslu (SLE) hastaların bazılarında hiperprolaktinemi varlığına işaret etmektedir ancak serum prolaktin düzeyi ile bu hastalıklar arasındaki ilişki net değildir. Bu çalışmada, sistemik organ tutulumu olmayan RA ve SLE’li hastalarda serum prolaktin düzeyleri sağlıklı kontrol grubuyla karşılaştırılarak değerlendirilmiştir. RA’lı 23 hasta, SLE’li 41 hasta ve her iki hasta grubu ile yaş ve cinsiyet açısından uyumlu 25 sağlıklı gönüllü çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. RA’lı hastaların sedimentasyon hızı (ESH) ve C-reaktif protein (CRP) düzeyleri, SLE grubundaki hastalardan anlamlı yüksek bulunmuş (p>0.05), serum prolaktin düzeyleri açısından gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık saptanmamı ştır (p

Abstract

In recent years some studies indicate the presence of hyperprolactinemia in some patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), but relationship between serum prolactin levels and these diseases is not clear. In this study serum prolactin levels of RA and SLE patients without systemic organ involvement were evaluated by comparing with healthy control group. 23 patients with RA, 41 patients with SLE and, 25 age-sexes matched healthy volunteers included in the study. In RA group, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were found significantly higher than in SLE group (p0.05). Both patient groups and control group, prolactin levels were not significantly correlated with ESR, CRP and white blood cell count (WBC) (p 0.05). We thought that prolactin levels didn’t raise in patient groups due to these patients has no systemic organ involvement and new studies with large patient populations who have high disease activity may be useful for illuminating interpretation in this matter.
