The translationstrategic basic position of Belles Infideles in the translation of European literature in the Tanzimat period

Abstract

Literary translations, especially the translations of the old literary texts, are the parts of literary systems and poly-systems of the target culture. Therefore, in this study an application related to a translation strategy, known as Les Belles Infideles, and its application in Tanzimat period will be examined. The development of this approach, its cross-cultural interaction, and its importance as a translation strategy will be studied. Besides these examinations, translation samples will be provided, and the findings will be illustrated by means of descriptive method.
