Özet
Çatlak diş sendromu (ÇDS); vital posterior dişin dentin tabakasında olan ve bazen pulpaya da ulaşan çatlağı ifade eder. Çatlak diş sendromunda en sık karşılaşılan şikâyet çiğneme sırasında ağrı olmakla birlikte değişik klinik tablolar görülebilir. Bu sendromda tanı koymak diğer dental problemlerden farklı olarak güç olabilir. Genel kural olarak hastanın şikâyetlerinin dişin durumu ile açıklanamadığı durumlarda diş ÇDS açısından değerlendirmelidir. Bu makalede dolgu, çürük gibi herhangi bir madde kaybı olmayan alt premolar dişteki ÇDS’unun tanı ve tedavi planlaması sunulmuştur.
Abstract
Cracked-tooth syndrome (CTS) refers to an incomplete fracture of vital posterior tooth that involves the dentine and occasionally extends into the pulp. The most common complaint in CTS is pain during mastication. However there can be variety of symptoms and signs. In contrast to other dental problems diagnosis of CTS might be difficult. As a rule the tooth should be evaluated for CTS when the complaint can not be explained the condition of the tooth. The diagnosis and treatment planning of a case of CTS in mandibular second premolar without caries and restoration is presented in this paper.
