Özet

Yugoslavya'nın dağılması 1990'lı yılların en kanlı iç savaşlarına sahne olmuştur. Yazında Yugoslavya'nın dağılma sebeplerini etnik, iktisadi ya da siyasi temelli açıklayan farklı görüşler vardır. Bu çalışma etnik temelli bir açıklama kullanarak Yugoslavya'nın dağılma sebeplerini açıklamaya çalışmakta ve tarihsel nedenler ve uygulanan politikalar nedeniyle temel unsurlarının güçlendiği Balkanlar'daki üçlü güvensizlik sisteminin önemli bir rol üstlendiğini savunmaktadır. Çalışma bu üçlü güvensizlik sistemini Sırpların Kosova'daki etnik Arnavutları ulusal birliklerine bir tehdit olarak gördüğü, bunun üzerine Arnavut azınlığın ev sahibi devlet Sırbistan'a karşı güvensizlik geliştirdiği ve Sırbistan'ın ana devlet Arnavutluk'a karşı bir güvensizlik geliştirdiği Kosova örneğine uygulamaktadır

Abstract

The dissolution of Yugoslavia witnessed the bloodiest internal wars of the 1990s. The literature has different streams on the explanation of the causes of Yugoslavian dissolution, focusing on the ethnic, economic or political roots. This study seeks to examine the causes of dissolution of Yugoslavia by using an ethnic roots explanation and argues the crucial role of the triple distrust system in the Balkans, whose main elements were increased by the historical reasons and by the policies pursued. It applies the triple distrust system to the specific case of Kosova, in which Serbs regarded the ethnic Albanians in Kosova as a threat to their national unity and in return Albanian minority developed a feeling of distrust towards the host state Serbia and Serbia developed a feeling of distrust towards the mother state Albania
