Abstract

There are sharp differences in many points between the Jews of the same origin and the common history of the Jews and the Samaritans. Therefore, Samaritan will be mentioned as a religion. The fact that the Samaritans did not want to define themselves as a Jewish sect and the refusal of the Jews to count the Samaritan as their own led to the definition of a religion as a religion, not a sect. However, although the sacred books of both religions are the Torah, there are differences between the Torah adopted by the Samaritan and the Jews. For example, the Samaritan; They differ from the Jews in that they believe in the first five books of the Torah (the five books of Moses) and that they do not accept the books of other prophets (Nevi’im and Ketuvim). On the other hand, they continue to claim that the opies in their hands are true and unmodified Torah. There are many differences between the Torah belonging to both sections, as well as the fact that the Samaritan fall apart in terms of whether or not to accept some of the Torah of the Jews. These differences are also evident between the Greek translation of the Torah, the Septuagint and the Hebrew Masoretic (Traditional) Torah. In this article, comparison of these texts of Torah will be made and claims of authenticity of these texts will be given.
