Abstract
In our study, 1434 cGy radiation; equal to 4500 cGy was used to 7 baby dogs in nominal standart dose for 14 minutes. According to our findings, when the unerupted permanent tooth germs were exposed to radiation, degeneration in same parts of the apatit crystals from enamel matrix in the hard tissues; like impairment in the fiber structure was observed. On the contrary in the unexposed part, ename the enamel-dentin border was fount to be norma In the dentine exposed to radiation; it was obst thattheorientationsofodontoblasts degenerated and obstructed in the dentine char On the side without radiation, the orientatioi odontoblast and dentine channels were found normal. Also in the alveol bone exposed to radi haemorragical areas were detected; but on the without radiation, bone constructions and hi channels were normal. According and evaluation of the results of this the other studies, dental germs must be proU during radiation exposure to head and neck.
