Abstract

The author of this article aims at showing how much The breast of Tiresias, this provocative and strange work opens the ways for a new theatrical esthetics. Qualified as "surrealist drama", the play seems with many regards announcing the surrealist movement as well in its composition as its stage setting mainly with provocation, surprise, fantasy and irrational.
