Determination of the Attitude of the Members of Student Communities Established at Fırat University toward the Use of Animals in Scientific Research

Özet

Çalışma, Fırat Üniversitesi öğrenci toplulukları üyelerinin bilimsel araştırmalarda hayvan kullanımı konusundaki yaklaşımlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Bu amaçla, 2015-2016 öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında, Fırat Üniversitesi Sağlık, Kültür ve Spor Daire Başkanlığı Öğrenci Toplulukları Birimine bağlı Bilim, Kültür, Sağlık ve Sosyal topluluklardan üçer öğrenci topluluğu belirlendi. Veriler her topluluktan 10 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 120 öğrenciye kişisel görüşme yolu ile anket uygulanarak sağlandı. Abstract

This study was conducted with an aim to determine the attitude of the members of different student communities, established at Fırat University, toward the the use of animals in scientific research. For this purpose, in the spring semester of the 2015-2016 academic year, three student communities were selected from each of the science, culture, health and social communities subordinated to the Student Communities Unit of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports of Fırat University. Data was collected by personally interviewing a total of 120 students, comprising 10 students from each of the selected student communities, who were all asked to answer a questionnaire.
