Bulgular: Hastaların %58.5 (n:24)’i erkek, %41.5 (n:17)’i kadın ve ortalama yaşları 64.7 yıl idi.
Abstract
Objective: The effect of age, gender, etiology, glaskow coma scale, blood pressure on admission, localization and volume of hematoma’ on prognosis of intracerebral hematoma was examined. Materials and Methods: In this study, 41 patients with intracranial hematoma admitted to clinic between the years of 2006-2013 were examined retrospectively by age, sex, hematoma volume, location, indications for surgery and the prognosis. Results: 58.5% of patients (n = 24) were male, 41.5% (n = 17) were female and the mean age was 64.7 years. 68.2% of the cases are between the ages of 51-91 with a history of hypertension and patients. 18 cases were treated surgically and 10 patients were died respectively. 23 cases were treated by medical treatment. 9 patients were died. The most common location of hematoma was thalamic region by the rate of 31.7%. Conclusion: The mortality rate was effected by patient age, the situation of of the ventricle opening, hematoma location and volume.
