Double whammy: A rare disorder complicating a common infection – A case report and review of literature

Abstract

Gorham-stout disease (gsd), is a rare disorder of unknown etiology. although a non-malignant,non-infectious condition, gsd results in massive destruction of bones by osteolysis secondary toproliferation of blood vessels. we present a young man afflicted with this condition with coexistingtuberculous pleural effusion and the successful outcome with treatment.
