Epidemiology of COVID‑19

Abstract

Acknowledging the epidemiological parameters is essential in the control of coronavirus disease 2019,which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. To define the macroscopicbehavior and control of the disease in the society, the incubation period, serial interval, reproductivecoefficient, doubling time of the infection, growth rate, curve flattening index, case fatality rate, andthe rate of asymptomatic cases should be well known.
