SHU'UBİYYA MOVEMENT IN ABBASID CALIPHATE : MİHYAR AL- DEYLEMİ'S EXAMPLE

Abstract

In the present study, Shu'ubiyya movement, which came into prominence during regression period of Abbasid Caliphate, will be discussed. In the study, Mihyar alDeylemi's bringing Shu'ubiyya into the forefront by using religious motifs in themes of classic and modern poetry will be analyzed after Shu'ubiyya movementin Abbasid Caliphate is discussed in general. Related research will be ended with a conclusion in which datum obtained through descriptive analysis method is presented
