EL-‘ARABIYYE LI’L-HAYÂT İSIMLI KITAPTA YER ALAN EŞDIZIM UYGULAMALARININ ARAPÇA ÖĞRETIMINE KATKISI

THE CONTRIBUTION OF COLLOCATION PRACTICES IN THE BOOK OF AL- ʻARABIYYA LI’L-HAYÂT TO ARABIC TEACHING

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin yaygın eşdizimli sözcükleri öğretme ve öğrencilerin kullanım hatalarını en aza indirme konusunda el-‘Arabiyye li’l-Hayât kitabını ele alıp incelemektir. Çalışmanın omurgasını oluşturan el-‘Arabiyye li’l- Hayât kitabının en önemli özelliği, ileri düzey metinlerle birlikte eşdizim örneklerini yalnızca metin içinde vermekle yetinmeyip bu eşdizimleri metin sonu çalışmalara taşıyarak sunduğu çeşitli aktivitelerle öğrencilere uygulama becerileri kazandırmayı hedeflemesidir. Gerek dilin aktif kullanımında gerekse çeviri yaparken önemli bir etkiye sahip olan eşdizimlerin, bolca eşdizim örnekleri içeren metinler yoluyla kademeli olarak öğretilmesi, öğretilen bu eşdizimlerin beceri düzeyine çıkarılabilmesi için metin sonu çalışmalara taşınarak standart hale getirilen çeşitli eşdizim etkinlikleriyle kavratılmaya çalışılması oldukça önemlidir. Çalışma el-‘Arabiyye li’l-Hayât serisinin dördüncü kitabıyla sınırlıdır. Çalışmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Literatür taraması yapılarak teorik bilgiler elde edilmiş, Arap ülkelerinde ve ülkemizde bazı üniversitelerde ders kitabı olarak okutulan el-‘Arabiyye li’l-Hayât kitabında geçen bazı eşdizimli ifadeler ve eşdizim etkinlikleri belirlenmiştir. Seçilen bu örnekler ve alıştırmalar yoluyla kitabın izlediği yöntem gösterilmeye çalışılarak eşdizim konusunun Arapça ders müfredatına veya ileride hazırlanacak ders kitaplarına dâhil edilebilmesi için bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the book entitled al-‘Arabiyya Li’l-Hayât for the teaching of common collocation words by teachers and with the aim of minimizing students’ misuses. The most important feature of this book is that it not only gives examples of collocations in advanced reading texts but also moves these collocations to end-of-text studies and aims to provide students with practical skills through various activities. Collocations have an important effect on the active use of languages and translation; therefore, it is very important to teach them gradually through texts that contain plenty of collocation examples and to make them grasped using standard and various collocation activities included in the end of texts in order to move the taught collocations to the level of the linguistic skill level. This study which used the scanning research method is limited to only the fourth book of the al-’Arabiyya li’l-Hayât series. Theoretical information was obtained by reviewing the relevant literature. Some collocational expressions and collocation activities in the book of al-Arabiyya li’l-Hayât which is used as a textbook in some universities in Arab countries and in Turkey were determined and examined. The method followed by the book was shown using the selected examples and exercises, and some suggestions were made to include the subject of collocation in the Arabic course curriculum or textbooks which will be prepared in the future.
