Boşlukları Doldurunuz: Öğrenciler Okulda ... Oynamak İstiyor

Özet

Herkes özellikle çocuklar oyun oynamayı sever ve biz onların okulda oyun oynamasını istiyoruzçünkü artık okullar yeni “sokaklarımız” oldu. Ancak biz onların hangi oyunları oynamayı istediğinibilmiyoruz. Bu çalışma “Öğrenciler okulda hangi oyunları oynamak istiyor?” ve “Öğrenciler okuldabelirtikleri oyunları neden oynamak istiyor?” sorularına yönelik olarak 2017-2018 eğitim öğretimyılında Türkiye’de özel okulda öğrenim görmekte olan 5218 ilkokul ve ortaokul öğrencisi ilegerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında internet üzerinden açık uçlu anket ile öğrencileringörüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Elde edilen görüşlerden elde edilen bulgular incelenereköğrencilerin oyun tercihleri ve oyunu tercih etme nedenleri sınıf düzeylerine ve cinsiyetlerinegöre belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin okulda oynamayı istediği oyunlarfutbol, saklambaç, basketbol, yerden yüksek ve voleyboldur. Öğrencilerin okulda oynamayı tercihettiği oyunlar cinsiyetlere göre farklılık göstermektedir ancak sınıf düzeylerine göre ise benzerdir.Çalışmanın bir diğer sonucu da öğrencilerin oyunları eğlenceli oldukları için tercih etmektedir veöğrencilerin oyunları oynama nedenleri hem cinsiyete hem de sınıf düzeyine göre incelendiğindebenzer olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract

Everybody, especially kids, like playing games and we want them to play games at school as they become the new “streets” now. However, we do not know which games they would like to play at school. This study aims to answer "Which games do students like to play at school?" and "Why do students want to play those games?" ; to find answer to these two questions this study was conducted with 5218 primary and middle students at the private schools in Turkey. Within the scope of the study, the opinions of the students were taken through online open-ended questionnaire. The opinions were examined using both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods. Afterwards, game preferences of students and their reasons for playing the game were categorized by grade level and gender. According to results of the study, the games which students would like to play at school are respectively football, hide and seek, basketball, high above the ground and volleyball. The game preferences of the students change according to their gender; however, they show similarities according to the grade levels. Another result of the study is that students prefer games because they have fun and they have similar reasons for playing games according to both gender and grade level.
