Abstract

The field of ergonomics differs between its current state that of when the topic appeared, in terms of considering mental workload and fatigue. Ergonomics, for most researchers, is seen as a science that generally considers the physical working environment and focuses on efficiency topics. However, over the years, like other sciences, ergonomics has experienced some changes, developments, and renewal thanks to technological progress and the requirements of the era. In recent years, studies on the measurement of the mental workload and the inclusion of these parameters in the planning and work processes of both production and service systems have been included in the literature under the heading of Neuroergonomics. The aim of this study is to examine the studies conducted on Neuroergonomicsthat, despite how new the field is, attracted great attention from the academic community and to determine the possible fields of neuroergonomic issues. In order to achieve these aims, national and international papers on neuroergonomics were analyzed in detail by classifying them by their way of handling the issue(s), application areas, measurement methods, and similar criteria.
