Simetrik ve asimetrik kafes kodlamalı modülasyon

Özet

Bu çalışmada simetrik ve asimetrik kafes kodlu modülasyon (TCM) şemaları tanıtılmakta ve 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 oranlı kodlar için performansları birbirleriyle karşılaştırılmaktadır. Karşılaştırmada, bu simetrik ve asimetrik TCM şemalarının her birinin performansının kafes diyagrammdaki durum sayısının artmasıyla arttığı görülür. 1/2 ve 3/4 oranlı asimetrik TCM şemalarının performanslarındaki artış aynı kod oranlarına sahip simetrik TCM şemalarına göre biraz daha fazla olmaktadır. Diğer taraftan, 2/3 kod oranlı TCM şemalarında asimetri sadece iki durumlu kafes diyagramında ilave performans artışı getirir, fakat dört ve daha fazla durumlu kafes diyagramları için kodlanmamış iletime göre her iki haldede performans artışları aynı olur.

Abstract

In this work, symmetrical and asymmetrical trellis coded modulation (TCM) schemes are introduced and their performances are compared with each others for the codes rates 1/2, 2/3 and 3/4. The comparasion yields that the performance of each of these symmetrical and asymmetrical TCM schemes increases with increasing number of its trellis states. The increase in performances for the asymmetric TCM schemes with rates 1/2 and 3/4 is more than that for the symmetric TCM schemes. On the other hand, for the rate 2/3 the asymmetry in TCM scheme introduces additional performance increase only in two-state trellis, but for four or more state trellis performance increases over uncoded transmission are the same for both cases.
