Abstract
Purpose: In the current study we aimed to detect Factor V Leiden (FVL), prothrombin G20210A (Prt) ve methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C677T mutation frequencies in women with or without recurrent pregnancy losses.Material and Methods: A total of 205 women with two or more pregnancy losses and 100 women without a history of abortuses were included in the study. Thrombophilia mutations were detected by PR-RFLP analyses. Results were analyzed statistically by Chi-square, Fisher's exact test and for the low genotype frequencies by G test. Results: We did not detect a statistically significant relationship between genotypes of the three investigated gene regions and recurrent abortus and control groups (p>0.05).Conclusion: According to the results of the current study, there is not a statistically significant relationship between the patient and control groups and genotypes. Our results support recent reports.
