Özet
Çalışmamızda panik bozukluk tanısı alan hastalarda intihar girişimleri ve bu girişimleri etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi ^amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla 1994 yılında Fırat Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Psikiyatri Polikliniğine başvuran ve DSM-III-R tanı kriterlerine göre panik bozukluk tanısı alan 62 hasta çalışma grubunu oluşturmuşlardır. Ruhsal değerlendirmeye yönelik görüşmeler sırasında yöneltilen araştırıcı sorular ile hastaların yaşam boyu intihar düşünce ve girişimleri sorgulanmıştır. SCID I ve SCID II envanterleri kullanılarak panik bozukluğa eşlik eden diğer psikiyatrik tablolar ve kişilik özellikleri araştırılmıştır.Yaşam boyu intihar girişimi düşünce prevalansı %22.6, intihar girişimi %4.8 olarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; panik bozukluk tablosuna major depresyon eklenmesinin, eksen II tanısının borderline kişilik bozukluğu olmasının ve çözümlenemeyen ailesel sorunların bulunmasının ciddi intihar riski oluşturduğu kanısına varılmıştır.
Abstract
In our study we aimed at inquiring into the prevalence of suicide attempts among patients who were diagnosed as panic disorder and the factors influencing this prevalence. Sixty-two patients who were admitted to psychiatric outpatient clinic of the Fırat University Medical School in 1994, with the diagnosis of panic disorder according to the DSM-III-R criteria, formed our study group. The other psychological disorders and personal characteristics accompanied with panic disorder of the patients were evaluated with SCID I and SCID II inventories. Patients who had suicide intentions and attempts were questioned as to the coersive factors and sentimental statuses in these parts of their lives. We determined lifetime suicidal intention prevalence 22.6%, and serious suicide attempt as 4.8%. As a result the addition of major depression to the picture, the borderline personality disorder as the axis II diagnosis and the unsolved intrafamily conflicts also constitute serious suicide risks.
