Biz çalışmamızda diabetik hastalarda koagülasyon-fibrinoliz dengesinde PAI-1'in cinsiyetleri hasta grubuna uygun olan kontrol grubuyla karşılaştırdık. PAI-1'i ELISA yöntemi ile çalıştık (Asserachrom PAI-ı Behring).

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a complex disease in which metabolic and vascular disorders are found together. In addition to the disorders of the lipid metabolism the change in the coagulation-fibrinolysis balance leads to vascular complications. In this study we investigated the role of PAI-1 in coagulation-fibrinolysis balance in diabetic patients. We compared the diabetic group. We measured the PAI-1 levels with the ELISA method (Asserachrom PAI-1 Behring). We divided our diabetic patient group into three parts; the patients with normal microalbuminuria (140 mg/day)(n=8)(Group 3). We compared the measurements of the groups among themselves and the control group (n=18). The average PAI-1 levels of the diatebetic and control group showed no statistically significant difference (16±16.4ng/ml, 13.5±5.4ng/ml p=0.137). When we compared the PAI-1 levels of the diabetic groups (Group 1, Group 2, Group 3) there was again no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). In our study there was no significant difference in the PAI-1 levels of the diabetics and the control group but on the other hand there was a weak negative correlation between the PAI-1 and aPTT (p=0.029). The reason for this may be aPTT is an early varying parameter in the beginning of the vascular complications (Table 4). We thought that the reason for the significantly high levels of PAI-1 in our patients is that the group is formed by regulated diabetics, but we could not explain the relationship of PAI-1 with diabetic complications.
