Özet

‘Hayatın Başlangıcı ve Evrim’ ünitesinin 2018 ortaöğretim biyoloji programından çıkarılması hususunda öğretmen görüşlerinin incelenmesi amacıyla bu çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma odak grup görüşmesi şeklinde yürütülmüş ve katılımcı biyoloji öğretmenlerine 5 ana soru yöneltilerek veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler nitel araştırma yöntemleri arasında yer alan betimsel analiz tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmanın veri seti araştırmacılar tarafından önce ayrı ayrı analize tabi tutulmuş ardından ortaya çıkan temalar ve kategoriler karşılıklı olarak açıklanarak veri analizine son hali verilmiştir. Katılımcı biyoloji öğretmenleri konuyu öğretmen, öğrenci ve toplumsal açıdan değerlendirmiş, konunun programlardaki yeri ve programdan çıkarılma nedenleri hakkında görüşler bildirmiştir. Görüşmeden elde edilen bulgular arasında neden-sonuç ilişkisi kurularak yorumlanmış ve katılımcı biyoloji öğretmenlerinin görüşlerinden doğrudan alıntılar yapılmıştır.
