Özet

Araştırmanın amacı, değişen madde fonksiyonunu belirlemede kullanılan Mantel- Haenszel (MH) ve lojistik regresyon (LR) tekniklerini karşılaştırmaktır. Bu amaçla araştırmada, 2005 yılında yapılan Ortaöğretim Kurumları Sınavı (OKS)’nın matematik ve fen bilgisi alt testleri kullanılmıştır. Test maddelerinin cinsiyet ve okul türüne göre fonksiyonlarının farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda, MH ve LR teknikleri arasında matematik ve fen bilgisi alt testlerinde cinsiyet ve okul türü değişkenlerine göre genel olarak düşük düzeyde bir uyum görülmüştür.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to compare Mantel-Haenszel (MH) and logistic regression (LR) techniques which are used to determine the differential item functioning (DIF). In accordance with this purpose, Maths and Science sub tests of Secondary Schools Exam (SSE) were used. It was examined whether the functions of test items varied according to gender and school type. In the light of the findings, it was found that there was a low level of accordance between MH and LR methods in Science and maths sub test according to gender and school type.
