İslami İlimler Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin “Saltanat ve Cumhuriyet” Kavramlarına İlişkin Metaforları

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, islami ilimler fakültesi öğrencilerinin saltanat ve cumhuriyete ilişkindüşüncelerinin geliştirdikleri metaforlar aracılığıyla incelenmesidir. Yapılan literatür taramasısonucunda, bu kavramlar ile ilgili yapılan herhangi bir çalışma bulunamamıştır. Bu bakımdanyapılan çalışmanın, alanyazına katkı sağlama ve sonraki çalışmalara ışık tutma noktasında önemliolduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan olgubilim yaklaşımıile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın amaçlarına uygun olarak Türkiye’deki bir devletüniversitesinin İslami İlimler Fakültesinde 2017 – 2018 eğitim öğretim yılında kayıtlı lisansöğrencilerinden amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme ile belirlenen 65’i kadın, 40’ıerkek olmak üzere toplam 105 katılımcıya uygulanan, açık uçlu soruların yer aldığı formlar içerikanalizine tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda cumhuriyet kavramı ile ilgili 90’ı farklı olmaküzere 105 metafor tespit edilmiştir. Bu metaforlar; insan (62), doğa (23), araç (16), din (2), kavram(2) olmak üzere beş temada toplanmıştır. Bunun yanında, saltanat kavramı ile ilgili 83’ü farklıolmak üzere 102 metafor tespit edilmiştir. Bu metaforlar ise yönetim (32), araç (20), insan (18),tabiat (16), his (15), tarih (1) olmak üzere altı temada toplanmıştır.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the thoughts of the students from Faculty ofIslamic Sciences through the metaphors they developed about the sultanate and the republic. As aresult of the literature review, it was found that no study was conducted related to these concepts.The study, in this regard, is important in contributing to the literature and to shed light onsubsequent studies. This research was carried out with a phenomenology approach which is one ofthe qualitative research methods. In line with the objectives of the study, the protocols includingopen-ended questions which were applied on 105 participants, 65 females and 40 males, selectedwith criterion sampling method among the undergraduate students from the Faculty of IslamicSciences in a Turkish State University in 2017-2018 academic years were analyzed with contentanalysis. As a result of the study, 105 metaphors, 90 of which were different, were identified relatedto the concept of republic. These metaphors are grouped in five themes: human (62), nature (23),vehicle (16), religion (2), concept (2). 102 metaphors, 83 of which were different, were identifiedrelated to the concept of Sultanate. These metaphors are grouped in six themes: management (32),vehicle (20), human (18), nature (16), sense (15), history (1).
