EĞİTİMDE YARATICILIK VE YARATICI MEKANLAR (MAKERSPACE)

Özet

Yaratıcı eğitime destek sağlanması amacıyla, yurtdışında okullarda ve kütüphanelerde yaygın olarak sunulan "Makerspace" hizmeti ülkemizde özel girişimler aracılığıyla verilmektedir. Yaratıcılığın eğitim ile geliştirilebilir olması, öğretmenlere ve eğitim sistemine düşen sorumluluğu ortaya koymaktadır. Türkiye'de ezberci eğitim sisteminin yaygın olması, düşünmeyen, araştırmayan ve sorgulamayan bir nesli ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bu sebeple araştırarak ve deneyimleyerek öğrenmenin yapıldığı yaratıcı mekanlarda ezbercilikten uzak durularak öğrenme gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu mekanların, yaratıcı eğitime sağladığı katkıyı ortaya koymak bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında yaratıcılık ve yaratıcı öğrenme konuları irdelenerek eğitime olan katkısına değinilecektir. Ayrıca yaratıcı eğitimde ilgili olan DIY (Do It Yourself- kendi kendine yap), STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math; Bilim, Teknoloji, Mühendislik ve Matematik) eğitimi konusu işlenecek ve yurtdışında okullarda sunulan yaratıcı mekan hizmeti olan "makerspace" örneklerine yer verilerek öneriler sunulacaktır.

Abstract

In order to provide support to creative education, "Makerspace" service, which is widely offered in schools and libraries abroad, is provided through private enterprises in our country. The fact that creativity can be improved through education reveals the responsibility that falls on the teachers and the education system. The fact that an education system based on rote learning is widespread in our country reveals a generation that does not think, investigate, or question. For this reason, an educational process that is far from rote learning is being implemented in the creative spaces where research and experience is the subject. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the contribution that these spaces provide for creative education. Within the scope of the study, creativity and creative learning subjects are examined and its contribution to education is mentioned. In addition, DIY (Do It Yourself), STEM topics related to creative education are also being discussed and examples of "makerspace" which is the creative space service offered to schools abroad are given and suggestions are presented.
