Abstract

Nowadays, because of the increase in population, the living areas are expanding and the currently used drinking water network systems may be insufficient. Making and dimensioning the hydraulic calculations of the drinking water projects in the most appropriate way will allow the cost to decrease to the optimum levels. Accordingly, the country's economy will be able to contribute. In this study, by taking into consideration the criteria specified in the Technical Specification of Iller Bank, hydraulic calculations were made by the dead points method in Netcad software for the drinking water network. The effect of pipe type on cost was investigated. Hydraulic calculations were carried out using polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, steel and ductile pipes. The most expensive pipe is steel, while the lowest cost pipe is polyethylene pipe.
