ENTELEKTÜEL KİMDİR? -TÜRKİYE’NİN ENTELEKTÜEL SORUNU

Özet

Türkiye'nin ama genelde İslam dünyasının son birkaç asırdaki "durum"unun ve sosyal, siyasal, kültürel, dini ve düşünsel alanda yaşadığı sorunların gerisinde esas olarak "entelektüel sorunu"nun yattığını düşünmekteyiz. Bugün Türkiye'nin de içinde yer aldığı İslam dünyası "entelektüel bir meydan okuma" ile karşı karşıyadır. En basit ifadesiyle neden bugünün dünyasının ama özellikle İslam coğrafyasının sorunlarına cevap verecek nitelikte entelektüellerin olmadığı, var olanların da neden toplumun sorunlarına çözümler üretemediği ve gerisinden geldiği sorgulanmalıdır Siyasi angajman içine girmesi, entelektüel çabayı siyasi çabaya indirgemesi, ideolojik ön yargı saplantısı, konformizm tuzağına düşmesi, bilgiyi araçsallaştırması, maddi avantaj arayışına girmesi, popülerleşme ve sığlaşma riski, hakikatin değil gücün ve otoritenin yanında yer alma, konjonktüre göre davranma, eleştirel olmayı terk etme, dini olanı dogmatik olarak reddetme, bilim adamı, akademisyen veya bir sanatçı olarak sahip olduğu itibarı istismar etme bugünün entelektüelinin temel problemleridir. Hakikatin peşindeki insan olarak tanımlanan entelektüel, sayılan durumlar nedeniyle "entelektüel ihanet" içine düşebilmektedir. Genel olarak entelektüellerin sahip olması gereken dört temel bilgi alanından bahsedilebilir. Bunlar, varlığın niçin'liğine dair düşünme olan felsefe bilgisi; insanın potansiyellerini, bireysel ve toplumsal anlamda yerinin ne olduğunu görmek açısından tarih bilgisi; inanan bir varlık olmanın ötesinde İslam dünyasına düşünsel anlamda ana rengini veren İslam'ın ve genel olarak diğer dinlerin bilgisi; varoluşun bir boyutu olarak estetik ve yaratıcı hayal gücünün sonucunda ortaya çıkan sanat bilgisidir. Acaba kelimenin en geniş anlamıyla entelektüel kimdir ve ne yapar? Türkiye'nin entelektüel probleminin gerisinde yatan sebepler nelerdir? Bu yazıda Türkiye'deki entelektüellerin yetersizlikleri ve "entelektüel körlük" durumundan hareketle entelektüelin karakteristik özellikleri üzerinde durulacaktır

Abstract

In this article, I will evaluate the intellectual problem of Turkey especially, and Islamic World generally. This problem is lying behind the all political, religious, cultural and philosophical problems of the situation of Turkey and Islamic world last several century. Today, the Islamic world in which Turkey is involved is faced with an "intellectual challenge". In the simplest terms, it is always questioned and complained about why there are no intellectuals in Turkey that are capable of responding to the problems of today's world but especially of the Islamic geography, why those who cannot produce solutions to the problems of the country and that they are behind the society The intellectuals' political commitment, the reduction of the intellectual effort to the political effort, the obsession of ideological prejudice, the fallen into conformism, the instrumentalization of knowledge, the risk of popularization and shallowness, not side with truth but with power and authority; leaving criticism, rejecting religion as dogmatic; exploiting the reputation of being a scientist, an academician, or an artist is a fundamental problem of today's intellectuals. The intellectual, defined as the person pursuing the Truth, can fall into "intellectual treason" because of these circumstances. In general, there are four basic knowledge areas that intellectuals should possess. These are the philosophical knowledge that speaks of the causes of existence; the knowledge of history in terms of seeing the potentials of man and his individual and social place; the religious knowledge that gives the Islamic world the main color in a philosophical sense; and finally, as a dimension of existence, aesthetics and art knowledge that emerge as the result of imagination power based on it. Who is the intellectual in the broadest sense of the word and what does it do? What are the reasons behind the intellectual problem of Turkey? In this article, we will focus on the characteristics of intellectuals in Turkey with inadequacies of intellectuals in the context of "intellectual blindness"
