Memenin skuamöz hücreli karsinomu (Olgu sunumu)

Abstract

Pure squamous cell carcinoma is a rare histologie type of breast cancer with an incidence of 0.5-2 %. It lacks any typical mammographie characteristics but 70 % of tumors are in cystic pattern. The diagnosis suggested by fine nee-dle aspiration cytology must be confirmed by open biopsy. In this report we presented a 69 years old female patient operated for a mass in the left breast. Frozen section dur-ing operation revealed squamous cell carcinoma and left modified radical mastectomy was performed. Although pure squamous cell carcinoma is a very rare histologie variant, it must be included into the differential diagnosis of cystic breast masses.
