Rektus kılıfı hematomları

Abstract

Rectus sheath hematoma is an uncommon cause of abdo-minal pain and is hard to diagnose unless it is considered. Since it may mimick acute abdominal, emergencies, pati-ents may be subjected to unnecessary surgery or laparotomy This problem, where non-operative treatment is available, can be diagnosed easily by ultrasonography and computerized tomography. Surgery should be preferred in giant hematomas and intraabdominal rupture of the vessels. We aimed to call attention to rectus sheath hematoma while discussing five patients followed up with non-operative treatment.
