Özet
Türkiyede okullarda din derslerinin verilmesi konusu ile ilgilitartışmalar onun 19. Yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren değişimgösteren eğitim sistemi içinde müstakil bir branş oluşundan iti- baren başlamış ve günümüze kadar her dönemde devam etmiştir.Çalışmada Türkiyede okulda din eğitiminin tarihi sürecine kısacadeğinilerek yeni eğitim sisteminde seçmeli din dersleri ve yenianayasa tartışmaları ışığında zorunlu din derslerinin gerekliliğitartışılmıştır.
Abstract
Giving Religious Education Lessons in schools in Turkey, whichstarted from within the changing education system and the occur- rence of an independent branch of religious education since theend of the 19th century in has been a controversial issue. In thisarticle, firstly the short history of religious education in Turkey ismentioned. Then necessities of religious education are discussedin the light of discussions on a new constitution and new educa- tion system.
