NARSİSTİK KİŞİLİK ÖZELLİKLERİ KURUMSAL BAĞLILIĞI ETKİLER Mİ?

Özet
Bu çalışmada; narsistik kişilik özellikleri ile kurumsal bağlılık arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla yapılan çalışmada GATA Hemşirelik Yüksek Okulunda öğrenim gören öğrenciler seçilmiştir. Toplam 335 öğrenci değerlendirme kapsamına alınmıştır. Öğrencilerin narsistik kişilik özelliklerini ölçmek için Dr. Ames ve arkadaşları tarafından 2006 yılında geliştirilen ve 16 sorudan oluşan Narsistik Kişilik Envanteri (Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin kurumsal bağlılıklarını ölçmek için Meyer ve Allen (1991) tarafından geliştirilen ve 23 sorudan oluşan Örgütsel Bağlılık Ölçeği (Organizational Commitment Questionnaire) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularından hareketle; gelecekte sağlık hizmetlerinin vazgeçilmez unsurlarından biri olacak olan hemşire adaylarının, kurumsal bağlılıklarını artırmak için narsistik kişilik özelliklerinin bilinmesi ve olumlu yönde geliştirilebilmesi için gerekli önlemlerin öğrencilik döneminden itibaren, eğitimin bir parçası olarak alınması önerilmektedir.
Abstract
This study aimed at investigating whether there is a correlation between organizational commitment and narcissistic personality traits. Students from Gulhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) High School of Nursing were chosen as the subject population. Totally, 335 students were evaluated. In order to measure students narcissistic personality traits Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) scale, which was designed by Dr. Ames and et.al in 2006 and contained 16 items, was used. In order to measure studentsorganizational commitment Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, which was designed by Meyer and Allen (1991) and contained 23 items, was used. With respect to the findings, it is suggested that nurse candidates , who will be one of the indispensable constituents of health services in the future, narcissistic personality traits should be known to improve their organizational commitment and necessary precautions should be taken as a part of their education in order to develop their narcissistic personality.
