Özet

İş ve aile insan hayatının iki önemli yönünü temsil ederler. Bu iki değişkenin uyumlu olması çalışanın işini daha iyi yapmasına katkıda bulunacaktır. Bu nedenle kişinin işi nedeniyle aile çatışması yaşamasına etki eden faktörlerin tespit edilmesi son derece büyük öneme sahiptir. İş-aile çatışmasının yaşanmasına birçok faktör etki edebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, çalışanların aşırı iş yükü algılarının aileleri ile yaşadıkları çatışmaya etkisinin olup olmadığının tespit edilmesidir. Bunun için havacılık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir işletmenin 435 çalışanından anket tekniği kullanılarak veri toplanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS ve AMOS programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda çalışanların aşırı iş yükü algılarının iş- aile çatışmasını pozitif yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda ortaya çıkan sonuçlar tartışılarak sektör yöneticilerine ve gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalara önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

Work and family represent two important aspects of human life. Compliance of these two variables will help the employee to do his/her job better. Therefore, it is extremely importance to determine the factors that affect the family conflict due to the person's work. Many factors can affect the work-family conflict. The aim of this study is to determine whether the employees' perceptions of excessive workloads affect the conflict which they experience with their families. For this purpose, data were collected using a questionnaire survey of 435 employees in a aviation firm and they were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the workers' perceptions of excessive workloads positively affected the work-family conflict. The results of the study were discussed and made suggestions to the sector managers and future studies.
