Demokrat partiden bir siyasi Portre: Samet Ağaoğlu

Özet

Ağaoğlu ve partisi DP Türk siyasal hayatını uzun yıllar yönlendiren, etkileri günümüzekadar uzanan bir siyasî mirası bırakmıştır. Bu miras, devlet ağırlıklı bir yönetimbiçiminden, toplum ağırlıklı bir siyasal sisteme geçiş süreci içinde, Türkiyededemokratik rejimin biçimlenmesinde ve siyasal hayatın değişmesinde çok önemli roloynamıştır. Bu kültürel mirasın yanında, DP ile yeni bir siyasetçi tipi de ortaya çıkmıştır.Aslında, çok partili sisteme geçilmesiyle beliren, DP ile şekillenen ve günümüze modeloluşturan bu yeni siyasetçi tipini, halkın ayağına giden, popülist söylemleri olan, dini önplana çıkaran, vaatlerinin arkasında durmayan, muhalefeti sınırlandırmak adınademokratik değerlerden ödün veren, ancak diğer taraftan cesur, bilinçli, liberalpolitikalar üretebilen, Batıyı hedef alan ve kalkınmaya öncelik veren kişi biçimdenitelendirebiliriz. Bu çalışmada siyasi portresini incelediğimiz Türkçü, Milliyetçi AhmetAğaoğlunun oğlu olan Samet Ağaoğlu, DPnin siyasi atmosferi içinde yetişmiş bir kişiolarak bu siyasetçi tipinin niteliklerini önemli oranda taşımaktadır. DP içinde farklı birduruşunun olması ise yetiştiği aile ortamı ve baba kaynaklı fikirler etrafında politikayapmasından ileri gelmektedir.

Abstract

Ağaoğlu and his party (DP) bequeathed a political legacy that leaded his political lifeand whose effects have still been felt. This legacy played an important role in formingthe democratic regime and the change in the political life during the process oftransition from a state ruling system into a public ruling system. Beside this culturallegacy, a new political figure also emerged together with DP. In fact, we can identify this new political figure, who emerged as a result of transition into multi-politicalsystem, is formed by DP and acts as a model today, as the one who goes public, ispopulist in his statements, favors religion, never keeps promises, ignores democraticvalues for the sake of limiting the opposition parties, but on the other hand the onewho is brave, conscious, can form liberal policies, targets the west and gives priority todevelopment. The son of Turkish and Nationalist Ahmet Ağaoğlu, Samet Ağaoğluwhose political portrayal we examine in this study has, to a large extent, thecharacteristics of this new political figure that grew up in the political atmosphere ofDP. This different figure in DP is the result of his family environment in which he grewup and is engaged in politics relying on the opinions of his father.
