Abstract

. Basaloid squamous cell carcinoma (BSCC) of the esophagus is very rare tumor and has a high malignant potential. It is generally located in upper gastrointestinal tract (GIT) including hypopharenx and oral cavity and respiratory tract. Although this tumor seems to be similar to adenoid cystic carcinoma of the salivary glands, it has morphological and behaviovral differences . There are rare presented cases of this aggressive tumor; so we presented our case of BSCC of esophagus together with the knowledge from literature.
