Özet

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı hemşirelerin kimyasal saldırı durumunda yapılması gereken uygulamalara yönelik bilgi durumlarını ve düşüncelerini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki araştırma 02.01.2014-03.03.2014 tarihleri arasında Karabük ilinde yer alan özel, devlet ve üniversite hastanesinde çalışan 260 hemşire ile gerçekleştirildi. Verilerin toplanmasında literatürler doğrultusunda hazırlanan, hemşirelerin sosyo-demografik özellikleri, kimyasal saldırıya yönelik düşünceleri ile bilgi durumlarını belirlemeye yönelik soruların yer aldığı anket formu kullanıldı. Çalışmanın verileri tanımlayıcı istatistikler ile değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin %65'i kimyasal saldırıya yönelik herhangi bir eğitime katılmadıklarını %78.5'i bu konuda eğitim almak istediğini belirtti. Toplumu bilinçlendirme noktasında hemşirelerin %69.6'sı aktif rol almaları gerektiğini, %29.2'si eğitim rollerini kullanarak aktif rol alabileceklerini belirtti. Hemşirelerin büyük çoğunluğunun kimyasal bir saldırı durumunda yapılması gereken uygulamalara yönelik sorulara bilmiyorum yanıtını verdiği saptandı. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin çoğunluğunun kimyasal bir saldırıda yapılması gereken uygulamalara yönelik yetersiz bilgiye sahip oldukları ve eğitime gereksinim duydukları belirlenmiştir. Konu ile ilgili ilde görev yapan hemşirelere İl Afet Müdürlükleri ve Sivil Savunma Örgütleri işbirliği ile uygulamalı eğitimlerin yapılması, farkındalık oluşturulması önerilmektedir.

Abstract

Aim: The purpose of the study was to evaluate knowledge states and opinions of nurses about the applications to be done in case of a chemical attack.Method: The descriptive and sectional research was conducted by the participation of 260 nurses serving at private, state and university hospitals situated in Karabük between 02.01.2014 and 03.03.2014. For data collection, a survey form which was prepared based on literature and consisted of questions to determine socio-demographic characteristics of the nurses and to determine knowledge states of them about chemical attack. The study data were evaluated by descriptive statistics. Results: 65% of the nurses indicated that they did not participate in any training about chemical attack, and 78.5% indicated that they would like to receive training on this issue. 69.6% of the nurses reported that they should play active role in raising awareness in society, and 29.2% reported that they could play active role by using their educational roles. It was determined that majority of the nurses gave the answer 'I don't know' for the questions on the things that need to be done in a chemical attack. Conclusion: It was determined that majority of the nurses had inadequate knowledge about the applications to be done in a chemical attack and needed training. It is suggested that practical trainings are offered with the collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Directorate and Civil Defense Organizations and awareness is created in the nurses serving in the City about the issue.
