In addition, the effect of moving the hospital to a new building on the number of applications was examined. Methods: The age, sex and psychometric test data of the patients who applied to Yozgat Bozok University Medical Faculty Psychiatry Polyclinic in 2018 were scanned from computer records and the mean age was calculated. Results: In 2018, 3331 applications were made to the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. Depression patients (53.3%) were the most frequently evaluated patients according to their diagnoses. The rates of female applicants were higher than men in all diagnoses except schizophrenia. The frequency of admission was highest in patients with bipolar disorder with 2.04 applicants during the year. Psychological tests were applied to 430 (12.9%) of the applications. Conclusion: In our study, women, depressive disorders and anxiety disorders constitute the most frequent groups that apply to the psychiatry outpatient clinic. The frequency of application of chronic disorders (bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia) were higher than other diseases. The location of hospitals and the transportation facilities affect the frequency of admission to the health institution. While planning health services in a region, it is of great importance to improve the location of the hospitals, transportation facilities and infrastructure facilities as well as sociodemographic characteristics of the region.
