Abstract

In this study, an RF power amplifier with 1kW output power suitable for Radar HF band (9-10 MHz) is designed and produced. The system is composed of 4 main units: 2 power amplifiers, 1 divider and 1 combiner. Power amplifiers (2 units) are each designed to have an output power of approximately 600W. Considering the losses, 600 W output power is determined as the target. It is aimed to achieve a minimum efficiency of 50%. Minimum 20 dB gain is obtained from each amplifier. A divider is designed to divide the power provided in the single input into 2 separate branches and connect it to the inputs of the power amplifiers. A combiner is also designed in order to collect 1kW power at the output by integrating the two output powers from the two separate power amplifiers in a single point. As a result, a high-power amplifier with 1 kW output power is designed and manufactured by integrating all subsystems.
