Özet

Bu çalışmada Pinus nigra Arn. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Holmboe meşcerelerinde alfa tür çeşitliliği ve tür zenginliği ile ekolojik ortam koşulları arasındaki ilişkilerin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Sütçüler Yöresi’nde yayılış gösteren doğal karaçam meşcerelerinden alınan örnek alanlarda bitki türlerine ait bolluk verileri Braun-Blanquet yöntemine göre kayıt edilerek, 0-1 arasında değişen örtüş-bolluk değerlerine dönüştürülmüştür. Her bir örnek alanda bitki türlerinin yanı sıra yamaç konumu, toprak derinliği, arazi yüzey formu, toprak taşlılığı verileri envanter karnesine kayıt edilmiştir.

Abstract

This study was routed to analyze the connections between alpha species diversity, species richness andenvironmental variables of black pine (Pinus nigra Arn. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Holmboe) forests. For this reason, the plant species were recorded by the Braun-Blanquet cover-abundance scale and changed over into fractional valuesextending from 0-1 in the test territories taken from the common black pine remains in the Sütçüler district. In addition, plant species, the slope position, soil depth, land surface form, soil stoniness were recorded in each sample plots. Themaps of elevation, slope, and aspect were acquired from the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the region whereas heatand radiation index maps were obtained from aspect and slope maps. Alpha diversity was determined by Shannon,Brillouin, Simpson, and Berger-Parker indices and species richness was determined for each sample plot. To illustratethe connections between all diversity values and ecological site factors in the area, Pearson Correlation Analysis andPrincipal Component Analysis were implemented. Species diversity resulting from all alpha indices indicated a negativecorrelation with altitude and percentage of stoniness as a consequence of statistical studies, although it was positivelycorrelated with slope degree and mean temperature levels of the plots As indicated by the outcomes from thisinvestigation, although alpha diversity indices are addressed to natural factors, there is no substantial associationbetween ecological site conditions and species abundance. This has resulted in that the consideration of species richnesswould not be enough in the studies on the relationship between diversity and the environment. Moreover, the resultsderived from various diversity indices are slightly different. Hence, it is additionally vital to consider this circumstancein the studies to be carried out.
