Özet
bir döneme işaret etmektedir. Askerî ve eğitim gibi alanlarda bu yenilikler en güçlü şekilde karşılık bulur. Kültürel ve sanatsal aktivitelerde de bu değişim en üst seviyede hissedilir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun bu döneminde Batı ile kurulan yakın temaslar, sadece siyasî ve ekonomik yapıyı değil, kültür ve sanat dünyasını da etkileyerek, bir değişim ivmesi yaratır. Bu değişimin ikinci aşaması ise Cumhuriyet’in kuruluşu ve gerçekleştirilen devrimlerle siyasi, sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel yaşamın yeniden düzenlenmesidir. Bu makale, Batılı anlamda Türk resminin Osmanlı’dan Cumhuriyet’e uzanan süreçte anılan ilk devir Türk ressamlarından bir seçkiyi kapsamaktadır. Yaşam çizgileri, Türk resim sanatının filizlenmeye başladığı 19. yy içinde kalan, yapıtlarını ve isimlerini bildiğimiz az sayıdaki ressamımız çalışmanın odak noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca hayatları, sanatları ve eserleri hakkında bilgilere ulaşabildiğimiz 10-15 civarında olan bu dönem sanatçıları arasında öne çıkan Nami Dede, İbrahim Paşa, Hüsnü Yusuf Bey, Osman Nuri Paşa, Yusuf Ziya Paşa, Hüseyin Zekai Paşa ve Süleyman Seyyid Bey makalemizin ana karakterlerini oluşturmaktadır. Yurt dışında eğitim alan ressamların yapıtları üslup, boya kullanımı ve biçim bilgisi açısından daha etkili sonuçları içerdiği söylenebilir. Bu dönem sanatçılarının durağan/statik içeriğe sahip olan portre, tarihi yapılar ve natürmortları daha çok resmettiği de diğer bulgular arasındadır. Sanatçılar hem hayat hikâyeleri hem de sanatsal yönden tek tek ele alınmıştır. Özellikle yaşam çizgilerine yakın tarihlerde yayınlanmış gazete, mecmua, katalog ve kitapların ışığında, dönemin ressamları ve üretimlerinin resim sanatımıza nasıl yön verdiğinin tespitine çalışılmıştır. Bu isimlerin Türk resim sanatına teknik, konu ve üslup olarak katkıları irdelenmiştir. Bu gruptaki ressamların ister yurt dışında isterse yurt içinde eğitim alsın, Akademik ve Realist üslupta resimler yaptıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Abstract
The last century of the Ottoman Empire prognosticate a period that rapid and different formations due to the lost wars. This innovations respond most strongly in fields like military and education. Also in cultural and artistic activities this change is felt at the highest level. In this period of the Ottoman Empire, close contacts that established with the West create a momentum of change by affecting not only the political and economic structure, but also the world of culture and art. The second stage of this change is the reorganisation of political, social, economic and cultural life through the establishment of the Republic and the revolutions made by the Republican regime. This article focuses on a few Turkish painters whose works and names are known to us; and their lifespan are within the 19th century when the Turkish art of painting began to sprout. Prominent ones among about 10-15 painters which we were able to gather information about their life, art and works; Nami Dede, İbrahim Pascha, Hüsnü Yusuf Bey, Osman Nuri Pascha, Yusuf Ziya Pascha, Hüseyin Zekai Pascha and Süleyman Seyyid Bey are the main characters of our article. It can be said that works made by the ones those who received education abroad have more effective results in sense of style, usage of paint and format. Among other findings it can be seen that painters of this period painted more of static contents like portraits, historical buildings and still-lifes. Both the life stories and artistic aspects of these artists have been thoroughly examined. It is aimed to examine how the painters of the period and their productions contributed to the art of painting, especially in the lights of the newspapers, magazines, catalogues and books that were published close to their lifetime. The contributions of these artists to the art of Turkish painting in terms of technique, subject and style are tried to be scrutinized. It is extrapolated that whether if they were educated abroad or not, this group of painters created works in Academic and Realistic styles.
