Özet

Bu çalışmada, Ulusal Ormancılık Programı çerçevesinde Odun Dışı Orman Ürünlerine yönelik hedefler, yasal durum ve uluslararası sözleşmelerdeki yeri, sertifikasyon ve standardizasyon konuları irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca bu çalışmada Antalya Orman Bölge Müdürlüğüne bağlı Orman İşletme Müdürlüklerinde Odun Dışı Orman Ürünü olarak mersinden yararlanma ve üretim potansiyeli irdelenmiştir. Tıbbi ve aromatik bitkiler vb. odun dışı orman ürünleri (ODOÜ); Akdeniz bölgesinin yerel veya ulusal ekonomilerine önemli katkı sağlamaktadır. Mersin (Myrtus communis L.) Akdeniz florasının değerli doğal türlerinden biridir. Bilinen en eski tıbbi bitkilerdendir. Meyve ve yaprakları ilaç endüstrisinde hammadde olarak kullanılması dışında, sürgünlerinden çelenk yapımında yararlanılmaktadır.

Abstract

In framework National Forestry Programme; the objectives of non-wood forest product, legal condition and ıts position in international agreement, certification, standardization subjects were studied. Besides, in this study It‟s examined for benefit and harvesting potentials of myrtle as a non-wood forest product in forestry enterprises of Regional Forestry Directorate of Antalya. Non-wood forest products (NWP) such as medicinal and aromatic plants etc. contribute significantly to the local or national economies of the Mediterranean region. Myrtle (Myrtus communis L.) is one of the important native species of Mediterranean basin. It is known that Myrtle is one of the oldest medicinal plants and its fruit and leaves are used as raw material for medicine industry. In addition ıts branches are useful for making wreaths.
