Bankalar, bankacılık hizmetleri ve ticari yaşantı- ya verdikleri katkıları ile tüm dünyada ve ülkemizde önemli yer tutan kurum ve kuruluşlardır. Bu araştırma, bankalarda çalışanların tütün kullanma durumu, bunu etkileyen etmen- ler ve tütün kullanımın banka çalışanlarındaki sağlık etkileri- ni değerlendirmek amacı ile planlanmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırma kesitsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmaya katılanlara anket yolu ile ulaşıldı. Evrenin tamamı örneklemi oluşturdu. Araştırma Denizli il merkezindeki araştırmayı ka- bul eden 31 banka şubesinde gerçekleştirildi. İstatistik anali- zi için ki-kare kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya 654 kişi katıldı. Banka çalı- şanlarının %58.9(384) erkek, %41.01(267) kadındı. Siga- ra içme durumlarına ilişkin bilgi veren %84.0(550)’ünün. %67.9(369)’u halen sigara içmekte, % 32.9(181)’u sigara içmemektedir(p>0.05). Abstract

The Banks are financial institutions and foundations which have very important place in all over the world and in our country due to banking services and their contributions on the trade- life. This study is done among members of staff working at the banks in Denizli in the aim of showing staff’s, how often they tobaco uses, effecting agents and health effects.Method: A cross sectional study was planned. This study includes 654 staff working at the banks in the city cen- tre of Denizli with the rest of this number which 31 bank approved this study couldn’t have been got through . All data obtained in this investigation were collected by the techniques of questionnaires. Chi-square statistics analysis was used to evaluate datas.Results: 654 bank staff members were participated in this study.
