Abstract
Concrete precast multi-cell box-girder bridges combines aesthetic with torsional stiffness perfectly. In straight bridges the effect of torsion is negligible and the transverse reinforcement design is governed by other requirements. However, in the case of skewed bridges the effect of the torsional moment must be considered. Therefore, this study was performed numerically on 90 numbers concrete multicell box-girder bridges with skew angles ranging from 0° to 60°. The relationship between the bending moments and secondary moments was investigated and it was concluded that secondary action increases with the increase in skewness
