Çağlayan Şelalesi’nin Rekreasyonel Potansiyelinin İncelenmesi

Özet

Çalışma ile Sinop ili Gerze ilçesine bağlı Çağlayan köyü sınırları içinde yer alan ve köye adını veren Çağlayan Şelalesi ve turizm potansiyeli coğrafi bakış açısı ile incelenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmalar neticesinde Çağlayan Şelalesi’nin bulunduğu Çağlayan köyünün ilçenin güneyinde, Boyabat, Durağan ve Dikmen ilçelerinin sınırında konumlandığı saptanmıştır. Şelale bölgesi Sinop ili ve yakın çevresine hitap edecek bir turizm potansiyeline sahiptir ancak henüz çok bilinmemektedir. Şimdiye değin bir turizm yatırımı yapılmayan bölgede arazi doğal yapısını büyük ölçüde korumaktadır. Çağlayan Şelalesi karayolu ulaşımının uygunluğunun yanında doğal yapısı itibarı ile rekreasyon potansiyeli taşımaktadır. Gerze’nin komşu ilçesi Erfelek’te bulunan Tatlıca Takım Şelaleleri turizm potansiyelini ölçmek için başarılı bir örnek olmasının yanında ilçenin turizm gelişimi bakımından önemli bir değer taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda, koruma-kullanma dengesi turizm yatırımları yapılması önerilmiştir. Böylece yörenin zenginliğini vitrine çıkarması bakımından önemli bir çekicilik ziyaretçilerin kullanımına sunulması beklenmektedir.

Abstract

Çağlayan Waterfall, which is located in Çağlayan village of Gerze district of Sinop province and gives its name to the village, and its tourism potential were both examined from the geographical perspective with present study. It was determined that Çağlayan village, where Çağlayan Waterfalls stream, is located in the south of the district, on the border of Boyabat, Durağan and Dikmen districts as the results of the conducted researches. The vicinity of the waterfall has the potential to appeal to Sinop and neighbouring provinces; however, has not been well-known, yet. The area where there is not any tourism investments have not been made until now preserves its natural assets. Considering the seasonality along with suitability of land route accessibility, Çağlayan Waterfall can serve as a promenade as it is suitable for trekking. Tatlıca Team Waterfalls located in Erfelek, neighbouring district of Gerze, displays a successful example to measure the tourism potential; what is more, they have an important value in terms of the tourism development of the district. In this respect, it is proposed that tourism investments can be done by considering a conservation-utilization balance. Thus, it is expected to present an important attraction to the use of visitors in regards of showcasing the richness of the region.
