OKUL YÖNETİCİLERİNİN YETERLİLİKLERİNE İLİŞKİN ÖĞRETMEN GÖRÜŞLERİ

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul yöneticilerinin sahip olduğu yeterlilikleri öğretmenlerin görüşleri ile ele almaktır. Çalışmada örneklem olarak tesadüfü örnekleme modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemle Elazığ ili merkez ilçede görev yapan 34 ilkokul öğretmenine ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin görüşleri alınmak üzere önceden hazırlanan üç adet açık uçlu soru kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırmalarda sıklıkla kullanılan olgu bilim deseni kullanılarak öğretmen görüşlerinden elde edilen veriler analiz edilmiştir. Görüşler benzerliğine göre gruplandırmalar yapılarak temalar oluşturulmuştur. Her bir temada dikkat çeken öğretmen görüşleri doğrudan alıntılarla yansıtılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin görüşlerinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre, öğretmenler okul yöneticilerini teknik yeterlilik açısından donanımlı ve iş bilir biri olarak en çok bilgisayar ve mühendise, kavramsal yeterlilik açısından bilgi sahibi biri olarak kitap ve hazineye, insani yeterlilik bakımından hoşgörülü biri olarak en çok anne, baba ve Mevlana’ya benzetmişlerdir. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre, yöneticiler sadece ürün odaklı veya çalışan odaklı olmak yerine bütüncül bir liderlik sergilemelidir. Okul yöneticileri kendini geliştirmelidir. İlgililer hizmet içi veya hizmet öncesi eğitim ile yönetici yetiştirme programları düzenlemelidir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the qualifications that school administrators have through teachers' opinions. The random sampling model was used as sampling technique in the study. Via this method, 34 primary school teachers working in the central district of Elazığ were reached. Three open ended questions, prepared beforehand, were used to obtain the opinions of the teachers. The data obtained from teachers' opinions were analyzed using the phenomenology design, which is frequently used in qualitative research. Themes were formed by grouping according to the similarity of views. The opinions of teachers, who draw attention to each theme, are directly reflected in the quotations. According to the results obtained from the opinions of the teachers, teachers were seen to admire school administrators; to computer and engineering as the most skilled and skilled person in terms of technical competence, to books and treasure as a person with knowledge in terms of conceptual sufficiency, to parents, and Mevlana as a person who is tolerant in terms of human competence. According to the results of the study, managers should follow a holistic leadership rather than only product-oriented or employee-oriented administration. Also, school administrators should improve themselves. Finally, the relevant stakeholders should organize in-service or pre-service training and manager training programs.
