Abstract

This study was carried out in order to evaluate T.C Revolution History and Kemalism course program which was started to be applied in secondary education institutions according to teachers' opinions in the context of educational criticism model. The research was carried out based on the case study of the qualitative methods of 11 teachers who had postgraduate education in Palandöken district of Erzurum, who were determined by criterion sampling method, and who took secondary education T.C Revolution History and Kemalism courses. In the research, structured interview form consisting of seven questions was used as a data collection tool which was prepared by the researcher and controlled by two academicians specialized in the field of education. The findings of the research are positive for teachers to adapt to the new program, in terms of their relationship with the real life of the program, their active participation in the course, consistency observed in the gains, meeting the expectations in line with the general and specific objectives, and being positive in terms of being effective in the upbringing of the students. It can be said that there are some problems such as the lack of explanations about the teaching methods and techniques or the lack of guidance books, the adaptation of teachers to the new program, the lack of supervision over the practitioners and the incompatibility with the higher education entrance exams.
