MATEMATİK EĞİTİMİNDE ÖNE ÇIKAN GÜNCEL DEĞERLER

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı matematik eğitiminde öne çıkan güncel değerleri sunmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ulusal ve uluslararası veri tabanları (Web of Science-Social Sciences Citation Index-SSCI, Education Resources Information Center-ERIC, EBSCO, Google Scholar, Ulusal Akademik Ağ Ve Bilgi Merkezi-ULAKBİM, Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı-Tez Merkezi vb.) “matematik öğrenme alanında değerler” kavramı ile ilgili anahtar kelimeler kullanılarak yapılan çalışmalar taranmıştır. İlgili alanyazın doküman analizi yöntemi ile araştırılmıştır. Tarama neticesinde matematik eğitiminde değerler ile ilgili 55 çalışmaya ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamına dâhil edilen bilimsel çalışmalar, yayınlanma yılı ve araştırma grubu başlıkları altında kategorize edilmiştir. Ayrıca tarama sonucunda ulaşılan araştırmalar içerik anlamında detaylı bir şekilde analiz edilmiş, matematik eğitiminde tespit edilen değerler, öne çıkan bulgular ve öneriler belirlenmiş, okuyucuya sunulmuştur. Matematik eğitiminde değerler kavramı ile ilgili bilimsel çalışmaların son dokuz yılda artış gösterdiği ve önem kazandığı görülmüş, matematik eğitiminde seksen yedi değer tespit edilmiştir. Bilimsel çalışmalarda dayanışma, işbirliği, grup çalışması, yardımseverlik, akılcılık, rasyonalizm, nesnel anlama, sorumluluk, açıklık ve saygı değerlerinin ön plana çıktığı elde edilen bir diğer sonuçtur. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde matematik öğrenme alanına ilişkin değerler ile ilgili birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to present the prominent current values in mathematics. For this purpose, studies conducted by using keywords related to the concept of "values in the field of mathematics learning" in national and international databases (Web of Science-Social Sciences Citation Index-SSCI, Education Resources Information Center-ERIC, EBSCO, Google Scholar, National Academic Network and Information Center-ULAKBİM, Council of Higher Education-Thesis Center etc.) were examined. The related literature has been researched by document analysis method. As a result of the surveying, 55 studies on values were reached in mathematics education. Scientific studies included in the scope of the research are categorized under the year of publication and the research group. In addition, the studies obtained as a result of the surveying were analyzed in detail in terms of content, the values determined in mathematics education, prominent findings and suggestions were determined, presented to the reader. It has been observed that scientific studies on the concept of values in mathematics education have increased and gained importance in the last nine years, and eighty-seven values have been identified in mathematics education. In scientific studies, some other results such as solidarity, cooperation, group work, philanthropy, rationalism, rationalism, objective understanding, responsibility, openness and respect values are also obtained. Within the framework of the findings obtained in the study, some suggestions were made regarding the values related to the mathematics learning field.
