Özet

Dünya Sağlık Örgütü verilerine göre gelişmekte olan ülkelerde, bebek ölümlerinin 1/5’i aşı ile önlenebilir hastalıklardan olmaktadır. Bağışıklama özellikle bebek ölümlerinin azaltılması, birçok hastalığın kökünün kazınması ve çocuğun sağlığının korunmasındaki yeri göz önünde bulundurulduğunda çok değerli, maliyeti düşük koruyucu bir hizmettir. Çocuk sağlığının korunmasında çok önemli yeri olan güvenli bağışıklama hizmetinin amacına ulaşabilmesi için aşının üretiminden çocuğa uygulanmasına kadar geçen süreçde ve sonrasında pek çok kişi ve kuruluşun sorumluluğu vardır. Ebe ve hemşireler güvenli bağışıklamada eğitici, araştırıcı, planlayıcı ve uygulayıcı rolleri ile çocuk sağlığını, dolayısı ile toplum sağlığının korunmasında tartışmasız önemli hizmetler sunmaktadır. Bağışıklama hizmetinin planlanmasından, sonucunun değerlendirilmesine kadar olan süreçte ebe ve hemşirelerin sorumlulukları; bağışıklamanın yararlarını bilme ve toplumdaki her bireye öğretme, aşının etkinliğini sürdürmek için soğuk zincir kurallarına uyma, aşı kontrendikasyonlarını bilme, uygulama sırasında dikkat edilecek genel ilkelere uyma ve uygulama sonrası gelişecek reaksiyonlara yönelik önlemler almaktır.

Abstract

According to the data provided by World Health Organization, the one fifth of the infant deaths occurs due to the reasons those can be avoided with the vaccination. The immunization is a very valuable, low cost protecting service, given that it reduces the number of infant deaths, eradicates number of diseases and protects the children’s health.Number of individuals and organizations have responsibilities to achieve the goals of the safe immunization which has a very important place in protecting children’s health. The midwives and nurses provide inarguably important services in protecting the children’s health and therefore the public health with their educational, researching, planning and practicing roles. In the process of immunization service from the planning to the evaluation of the results, the responsibilities of the midwives and nurses are as follows: to be aware of the benefits of the immunization and to educate the public about them, to follow the cold chain rules to maintain the strength of the vaccine, to be aware of the vaccine contraindications, to follow the general principles need to taken into account during the vaccination, to take protective measures against the possible post vaccination reactions.
